That Sounds About Right

04 Feb

You may have already heard the news. My good buddy Phil failed to see his shadow. Or as I prefer to think of it, after allegedly living for over 100 years, he has finally learned to tell the difference between his shadow and a coyote. Anyway, this is what you get when you let a rodent predict your weather.

Good call, Phil.

On the other hand, his predictions aren’t any less accurate than my local meteorologists’.

We always say the only accurate forecast is the one you get looking out of the window ;-)

That’s pretty much what I resort to these days. Although the elephants at the zoo are pretty good at predicting rain.

Poor Phil. He doesn’t even get a fancy suit to predict weather snafus. He gets rowdy college students in ridiculous hats spilling beer everywhere.

I think the worst part is that he gets kissed by that dude in the tux every year.

I’m sure Grandma wouldn’t have made that mistake.

I know she wouldn’t. Her trick knee would act up.

But we made it through January. That thought alone keeps me going. Someone pass the booze.

My husband and I worry each year that the earth’s axis has tilted improperly, and we’ll never see spring again. And then we bay at the moon and sacrifice a goat.

LOL In many ways, Phil may be a better meteorologist than the actual meteorologists. At least he knows to climb in a hole…

Since Groundhog’s Day, our weather has been superlative! Today it’s plus 2 & sunny!

Here in San Antonio it seems like winter never even started. I wonder what Phil would say about the upcoming summer…

Haha. It’s true. Between Phil and our cheesy, bow-tied weatherman I pretty much just always wear shorts and hope for the best :)
